As an expression of these efforts and with the intention of being able to clarify doubts and needs of our clients, here is a list of the certifications we have and relevant information of each one of them:
REGULATION (UE) 2018/848 ON ORGANIC PRODUCTION AND LABELLING OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS.
Organic production, also called biological or ecological, is an agri-food management and production system that combines best environmental practices with a high level of biodiversity and preservation of natural resources, as well as the application of high animal welfare standards, with the aim of obtaining production in accordance with the preferences of certain consumers for products obtained from natural substances and processes.
GLOBAL GAP
It is the world’s leading assurance programme, ensuring that consumer requirements are reflected in agricultural production and that producers meet globally accepted standards for food safety, sustainable production methods, worker and animal welfare, responsible use of water, animal feed and plant breeding materials.
GRASP
It is an add-on to Global GAP, which stands for GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment for Social Practices, and is a voluntary module, developed to evaluate social practices in exploitation, addressing specific issues related to the health, safety and welfare of workers. GRASP helps producers to establish a good social management system on their farms. It offers buyers an additional guarantee. It also helps to protect one of the most important resources of the farm: its staff.
BRC (BRITISH RETAIL CONSORTIUM)
Food safety system tested by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), specific to the agri-food industry, being applicable only to companies manufacturing or packaging food products. It is clear evidence of compliance with food safety legislation.
IFS (INTERNATIONAL FEATURED STANDARDS)
Food safety system approved by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), it indicates that the certified company has established appropriate processes to ensure the safety of the products it manufactures and that it respects the specifications of its customers. IFS Food is applied when the product is “processed or treated” or when there is a risk of product contamination during its first packaging.
CHINA ORGANIC PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

The database provider Ethical Data Exchange is a global platform for the exchange of information on ethically sustainable production in the supply chain. SMETA is an audit procedure that brings together good practices in an ethical audit technique, using the ETI code and local laws as an assessment tool.
KOSHER
It refers to food that complies with the precepts of Jewish law. Kosher or casher in Hebrew means ‘fit, proper’, generalized to mean ‘right, legitimate’. Our scope is red fruits (frozen or mashed strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries).
BIO SUISSE
It is the private label of the Swiss organic market. Bio Suisse’s requirements must be implemented along with those required by the EU organic regulation. Organic agriculture is a way of producing food that respects natural life cycles. It minimizes human impact on the environment and operates as naturally as possible without the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). It is part of a large supply chain, which also includes processing, distribution and trade.
INTEGRATED PRODUCTION
It is the agricultural system for obtaining plants which uses and ensures long-term sustainable agriculture, introducing biological and chemical control methods and other techniques which make compatible the requirements of society, environmental protection and agricultural productivity, as well as the operations carried out for the handling, packaging, processing and labelling of plant products covered by the system.
TESCO NURTURE
ALBERT HEIJN
It is an add-on to Global GAP, a protocol for fresh products that aims to guarantee traceability and respect for the EU’s Maximum Residue Limits, which is the focus of most verifications in this protocol.
Sampling plans are established for annual and perennials crops, greenhouses and fruit trees. For this purpose, a risk analysis of each plot is made and specific control measures are defined.
