WE PRODUCE ECOLOGICAL POMEGRANATE FROM
AUGUST TO DECEMBER
Our Production Calendar
The season of our organic pomegranate
We produce, export and distribute ecological pomegranate in bulk. We currently have a controlled production of ecological pomegranate, centred on two main varieties, an earlier one that starts production at the end of August and another with more volume, but a little later, that will start production at the end of September and will continue until December, with very flexible delivery times that adapt to the requirements of all our clients in terms of harvesting.
In terms of packaging, we focus on Ecological Pomegranate in bulk in 4kg boxes, cushioned with poplar wood shavings.
We are therefore able to send ecological pomegranates practically anywhere in Europe within 48 or 72 hours, a speed of distribution that is highly valued by our customers.
Packaging
Tradition and sustainability in the presentation of our pomegranates
Our main customers (many supermarket chains in Spain and Europe) demand a simple, sustainable and economical presentation, combining in the same format, the different sizes of this fruit, related to the number of pieces included in the packages that leave our facilities near the Doñana National Park.
The predominant format is bulk sale in 4kg boxes, accompanied by wood shavings.
The customisation of the boxes is one of the ways that have been successfully opened in recent years to meet the branding needs of many large supermarkets, so we are open to new proposals for packaging, as long as it complies with the regulations and ideology of our company.

Ecological pomegranate
One of the fruits with the highest antioxidant and nutritional properties.
Bio Pomegranate
Pomegranate, one of the fruits with the highest antioxidant and nutritional properties.
The ecological pomegranate is the fruit that comes from the fruit tree called pomegranate tree (Punica granatum), a small tree or shrub up to 5 metres high that belongs to the Punicaceae family.
The ecological pomegranate has various nutritional properties that are beneficial to our health and can help us preventing some illnesses. One of the main characteristics of the pomegranate is its great antioxidant power. This food has a high water content, and its energy value is very low. It is a fruit rich in minerals, especially potassium, although it also provides phosphorus, manganese, calcium, iron and magnesium. Among the vitamins, it contains mainly vitamins C, B1 and B2.
Pomegranates have a long shelf life which makes them easy to export. At Bionest we offer different varieties of this wonderful fruit during the summer/autumn season, striving to provide great tasting and good sized fruit.
Flavour And Textures
An exotic interior
The pomegranate is a fleshy fruit with a thick rind of mixed orange and golden colour. The inside of a pomegranate is divided into several chambers by a whitish membrane containing numerous seeds. Each of the chambers is covered with pink or red flesh. The flesh is juicy, refreshing and has a characteristic sweet and sour taste.
It is a fruit with a wide variety of uses. Our customers all over the world offer all kinds of products in their supermarkets and department stores. Ranging from whole fruit, pulp and clean seeds, juices and soft drinks, etc.
Biological Balance
Ideal conditions for pomegranate cultivation
The environment in which we are located and its special climate help us to develop our pomegranate cultivation throughout the autumn and part of the summer.
This fruit grows naturally in the Mediterranean area. However, it is originally from the Middle East, where its numerous health benefits were already known. It also helped to treat different illnesses.
Spain is currently the largest producer in Europe, although the pomegranate season in Spain is short. The fruit is harvested and best consumed in autumn, between September and November. However, some varieties are also harvested in August and December.
