To generate these conditions it is advisable to fertilize using organic fertilizers at least once a year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are Mediterranean climate trees, that is the reason why Spain is one of the largest citrus exporters in Europe<\/strong>. They also require permeable and low limestone soils where the tree can be anchored. The orange tree is not very resistant to cold, requires significant rainfall (around 1,200 mm), and when it is not covered, it is necessary to resort to irrigation.
